Mister Alley is written from the point of view of a man in later life who still cares how he looks.
I am 72, not a fashion insider, and certainly not trying to be one. I have spent most of my working life in offices, not showrooms or style departments. But I have always believed that getting older does not mean giving up on how you dress.
My own style is simple: slim jeans, a plain T-shirt, decent trainers, glasses, and usually a leather bomber or cafe racer jacket. There is probably a bit of the motorcyclist in there too. I like clothes that feel current, practical and easy to wear — not baggy, not fussy, and not what people sometimes assume an older man should wear.
Mister Alley is about that space: looking good without trying too hard, staying current without pretending to be young, and choosing things that still make you feel like yourself.
